- GPS/GNSS
- RS-422, RS-485, UART, RS-232
Hardware Development
We develop mostly micro-controller based devices, with communication module (tested and selected modem available on the market)
We use micro-controller chips (mostly Microchip, Espressif) for:
- use digital technology instead of analog
- Enable Firmware upgrade and workarounds instead of hardware modifications
- maximize functionality and elasticity with minimal hardware
- size minimization
- protection against copying and reverse engineering possibility
- hardware and analog part minimization
We use external RF modules (modems) for:
- Simplify PCB construction by moving RF part outside, and limit overall PCB costs, and manufacture technology
- Conform with Network operator homologations
- Smaller space consumption
- Minimize RF development costs and time
- Easy RF certification
Firmware Development
- We develop multi-vendor, encrypted bootloader for loading/upgrade firmware via main or auxiliary communication interface
- Multi-vendor protection requires the same vendor code (for: software | firmware | bootloader) and authorization to software (applications | server | cloud | proxy).
- In case of using invalid or cross-vendor codes, microcontroller chip become inoperable and may be permanently disabled or even damaged, which may also damage whole device's electronics
- We use multi-vendor protection code of firmware, against unauthorized selling and mixing products on different markets.
- We use low-level "C" programming language for easy migration (up-scale, down-scale code to different microprocessor manufacturers or family)
